Imagine if you could take the next step in your career without compromising on competence, quality, and community? At WSP in Örebro/Västerås, you will work with colleagues who are passionate about water issues and are eager to share their knowledge. We are looking for someone with solid experience in water management who wants to help shape the solutions of the future – whether your strength lies in design or investigation.
About the Water Subsector Wherever people live and gather, whether in a large city or a rural area, there is a need for infrastructure for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater. WSP's Water subsector offers a complete range of consulting services in these areas. Our consultants have comprehensive expertise from overarching investigations in early stages to detailed technical solutions in pipeline and process technology. Our services also include operation and maintenance issues, water economics, stormwater and flood investigations, modeling of natural watercourses, planning issues, as well as legal and water organization matters.
With our 190 consultants in 22 offices across the country, we are a strong player and dare to call ourselves specialists in water management. Our national subsector actively works with technology development, resource allocation, and knowledge transfer to ensure that both the working climate for employees and delivery to clients maintain top quality. Water issues are part of all major community projects today, and in the future, climate adaptation issues will only become more relevant. Challenges that we at WSP see as having an important advisory role in solving together with our clients.
About the Position We are in a growth phase and welcome you who want to work as either a Water Designer or a Water Investigator, or in a combination depending on your background and ambition. Here are some examples of what you can work on with us:
As a Water Designer: Designing pipeline networks in various stages – from feasibility study to construction documentation. You will work with drawings in CAD (Civil 3D), technical descriptions according to AMA Construction, and dimensioning of water systems.
As a Water Investigator: Investigations into stormwater and heavy rainfall, from early stages to detailed solutions. You will lead assignments, act as an expert, and support junior colleagues.
Regardless of which role you step into with us, you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for assignments of varying size and complexity, work closely with our clients, and influence strategic decisions. You will have the chance to develop within your technical area – or towards a leadership role if that is your ambition – while becoming part of a national network that drives technology development and knowledge sharing.
With us, you will find a workplace with experienced colleagues who challenge and inspire you, a culture where we help each other succeed and dare to try new things, as well as the opportunity to work both locally and nationally in multidisciplinary projects? You will also have flexibility regarding your workplace location and remote work.
We take pride in our competence and collaboration. With us, you will be part of an open and development-oriented team that together creates sustainable solutions for the society of the future.
